Siempre en busca de inspiración
The mission of L’Arcada:
To create a special environment through the development of various events, camps, and large-capacity conference centers where people can hear, see, and experience Jesus Christ.

Our History
L’Arcada, meaning “the arch,” is located in the beautiful valley of Sant Miquel de Campmajor, Girona (northeastern Spain), and recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. While many have already experienced the unique atmosphere of this special place, we want to share the story of how L’Arcada came to life—for those who haven’t visited yet or may have forgotten its beginnings.

After several years of limited success in church planting, Dave and Debbie Frank felt God leading them toward a new approach: creating a camp and conference center in northeastern Spain. With approval from GEM (Greater Europe Mission), they began the search for a property that met specific needs and had room to grow.

For five long years, they waited on God, facing legal and local challenges and financial struggles. Finally, they found the perfect property in the Sant Miquel valley-far beyond their expectations.

David and Jordi Vilahur explored the land (around 300 hectares), thanking God for guiding them there, and prayed:
“Lord, we claim this beautiful part of Your creation for Your glory in Europe. Please guide us in the purchase negotiations.”

God’s hand was evident throughout the process. The original asking price of over $1 million was negotiated down to about $500,000, and the owner even allowed part of the payment to be made over time without interest—a clear sign of God’s provision.

The first camp opened in 1991, and we continue to pray and work for God to grow and bless this ministry for many years to come.
